In 1996, Alex Brooke and Adam Hempenstall met whilst at University in Oxford, where they both promoted student events. After graduating, they spent the next 5 years running several record labels and a music promotions business in London next door to Pete Waterman’s famous Hit Factory Vineyard studios in London Bridge.
In 2003, Alex Brooke and Adam Hempenstall formed Peppermint Events to deliver fresh event concepts and high quality bars at outdoor events. Peppermint originally founded event enclosures at Henley Regatta and Cowes Week. Together in 2004, Peppermint and the Mint Group produced the first ever Lovebox festival on Clapham Common.
Adam and Alex continued their work at summer sports events and targeted boutique music festivals from 2005 – identifying a gap in the festival bars market, to deliver quality and choice.
Peppermint now services over 40 events every year, primarily delivering premium bar solutions to one day concerts, sports events and music festivals. Over the last 15 years Peppermint has developed long-standing client relationships with the likes of AEG, Bestival, Henley Regatta, Royal Ascot, Broadwick Live, Live Nation and many more.
