Last Sunday the Audi International Polo took place at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor. This is one of the biggest spectator polo day events, attracting international guests and creating a unique, high-class atmosphere.
Audi was for the second year the main sponsor, while Keith Prowse provided official and (of course!) stylish hospitality to all guests. Participants have been welcomed with Moet and Pimms and then treated to an amazingly cooked 3-course lunch (powered by Payne & Gunter), featuring “exotic” delicacies (never heard of cucumber ketchup?) and “innovative” desserts (definitely the combination strawberry-basil salad is not a feature of everyday meals).
The match (won by England, in case you didn’t know) was followed by afternoon tea (yes, more food!) and the official Boujis After Party – and what a party!
The private South Ken’s club hired for the occasion electro Djs Groove Armada and Pete Tong who lighted up the evening with Ibiza-style sounds and a party that went on until midnight (considering that the first glass of Moet was served at noon, this sounds like a reasonable time to end the party!)
The glam event obviously attracted some celebs – supermodel David Gandy and Skyfall actress Naomi Harris were spotted, just to name two.
You weren’t there? You’ll want to make sure you’re there next time and keep an eye on the Guards Polo club website.
