A new festival for Brighton in Stanmer Park this coming July has announced it’s first wave of acts today.
Mark Ronson will join Example, Kissy Sell Out, Yasmin, Riva and Brighton’s very own Freemasons and Prok and Fitch. There are more acts to be announced.
The festival is expected to attract over 15,000 people on July 9th. It is the first year for the festival but has been 3 years in the planning. The event was formally given approval by Brighton & Hove city council some months ago and some said it would never happen after the unrelated, failed “Beachdown” festival left many out of pocket. Shakedown however, has professionals at the helm with an ex Radio 1 stalwart curating the music and local station Juice 107.2 fully behind the event.
Shakedown happens on Saturday 9th July at Stanmer Park in Brighton, from 2pm – midnight. More acts to be announced For more info visit their website here.
