As for music acts, we all know that Arcade Fire and Kasabian will headline – and some rumours were spread about a possible appeareance of Oasis. Festival organiser Emily Eavis’ has officially retweeted that “oasis aren’t playing this year.” – the speculation can be put to rest.
British Summer Time
We love that at this festival we can put together a day out at the park and amazing performances and music – barclaycard really did a great work! The latest announcement is about The Libertines – they will headline on th 5th of July. That’s a pretty exciting news, considering this is their first full live show since 2010. Welcome back!
Clapham Common becomes a dancefloor for a weekend in August with this city festival – name a DJ and there is a pretty good chance he/she will be playing here. Latest announcements include: Madeon, John Digweed, Pete Tong, and Bicep vs Simian Mobile Disco.
BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend
The most amazing thing is that this festival is free. Tickets can’t be purchased, but won through a lottery! This year is the 13th edition and will take place in Glasgow, Scotland. While Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, and Danny Howard have already been announced for the Friday night (the dance night) Coldplay are the first headlining announcement.
The Red Bull Music Academy, “a world-travelling series of music workshops and festivals: a platform for those who make a difference in today’s musical landscape” will have its hown stage at Bestival and the line up has been announced lately. Among others, these are the added acts: Jackmaster & Oneman Present Can U Dance, live sets from Redhino, and Kool Clap and Spencer. A special gues from the garage scene is Dj Ez.
