About Bingley Music Live
Growing in stature year on year, Bingley Music Live has been operating in its current format since 2007. In 2012 the festival ran the tagline ‘Big Heart, Big Sounds’ – this succinct message perfectly summarises everything that is great about Bingley Music Live.
Feedback from performers and festival-goers alike continues to be incredibly positive and the media seem unable to hold back the love, with Virtual Festivals awarding BML a rare 10/10 score. The high standard of production, friendliness, excellent organisation and the beautiful surrounding of Myrtle Park all contribute to the audience’s enjoyment.
Attracting seasoned festival goers and first timers alike, in just six years Bingley Music Live has developed an incredibly loyal and supportive following, and grown into a nationally heralded festival that is widely applauded for its professionalism and integrity.
Added to this is an ongoing commitment to delivering superb value for money. This means being dedicated to showcasing top quality acts at a price that makes the weekend accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their age.
Another key objective is to deliver a diverse programme of entertainment. This has seen extensive development of the beautiful second stage which in conjunction with the main stage is devoted to both mainstream and up-and-coming bands. BML is also an ardent advocate of supporting local bands from the region; giving them the opportunity to perform on the same bill as internationally acclaimed artists.
As well as the music, Bingley offers plenty more besides! To ensure a family-friendly environment there’s a fantastically improved Kids Zone where smaller family members can play safely and happily while parents relax. In addition to this there are street performers, urban art, woodland traders area, massage tepees, a real ale tent and gourmet food outlets. BML is also signed up to the ‘Attitude is everything’ disabled access charter.
This inclusivity helps to create an intimate atmosphere, with a series of ‘mini festivals’ within a festival, this is paired with outstanding performances from headline bands that are usually only associated with huge, sprawling festivals. With a daily capacity for 16,000, BML is one of the few remaining intimate festivals on the circuit which allows audiences to get up close and personal with all their favourite bands.
